We could have made a conventional door or another retractable door, but we wanted something new and different. The door had to complement our system's approach to simplicity and clear openings void of obstructions. We also wanted to eliminate normal door issues such as dead floor space, landing for outswing doors, closers, and wind damage. It had to be low maintenance and easy to ship.
